Bell work:  Obtain your computer and get to page 196 in our textbook. Write in your planner.  Page 72 IA ntbk.

Homework:

  • “Bloody Times” test is moved to Monday.

  • HP completion and summaries moved to Tuesday.  HP Summary Example -(not 5th period)

  • Reading Log #4 is due next Tuesday.  (#3 for late credit)

Classwork:

First period only:

  1. Take HP #3 quiz.  These are FSA style questions which require higher-order thinking.

  2. Meet with Socratic Seminar group.  Glue green paper (from last Friday) onto page 64.  Side hinge fold on other side. More research and notes on what a SS is and isn’t.

  3. Blue page goes on page 74.  Schroyer to come around with topics.

  4. Pages 74 and 75 are where you will record notes, evidence, facts, details etc you are gathering for your Socratic Seminar.

  5. Watch Socratic Seminar video.

 

PERIOD 5———————————

Class work:

  • Meet with your FSA Rubric Presentations Group

  • Use what you have completed on pages 72 and 73.

  1. Play Group Jenga

  2. Begin with question #1

  3. Check for accurancy, RACE, four sentences, with at at least two transitions, and that everyone in your group has the answer.

  4. Send a representative to Schroyer to check (the above).  If correct, your group will receive two Jenga pieces.

  5. Repeat but send a DIFFERENT representative to Schroyer for another game piece.

  6. Begin building your tower

  7. When time is called, the team with the tallest tower (made only of Jenga pieces) wins!

  8. If winning group does not have answers on page 72 for all group members, we will go to the next tallest tower and repeat.
