Bell work: Sit with your partner and open your IA Notebook to page 49.  Update your page of information on your partner and how your conversations have been going, how much work you have completed, and what still needs to be done.  Do you have your research completed (the yellow graphic organizer)?  Will you complete it today?  What are your next steps?  Who is doing what?  Who is procuring your piece of foam board?

Homework:  STUDY ARGUMENTATION VOCAB IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A RE-TAKE OF THIS TEST.  IT WILL BE WEDNESDAY OF NEXT WEEK DURING CLASS.  YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING REMEDIATION.  NO REMEDIATION = NO RETAKE:  One set of flashcards for all argumentation words and Frayer Models for each argumentation word.

Continue to chat with your partner and enter completed work on Office365 as a way to share with each other and me.  Again, YOU NEVER NEED TO CLICK THE SHARE BUTTON again- just keep adding to your Holocaust File.

Classwork:

  • Complete the graphic organizer.  Probably looking for several bullet points in each category.

  • For author at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum use the title of the page you used.

  • Once completed begin writing your script

  • Must present your information in a creative way:  personification, interview of a survivor or family (refrain from a boring back and forth question answer format); SOUND EFFECTS, music in background, using a German accent, use German words and names when possible, timing (speaking too quickly/ too slowly) speak clearly, historical facts to back up what you are saying, react when information is presented, have multiple guests so we can hear different perspectives on your topic, ask higher-level questions, give higher-level answers

  • Can use the time to practice reading script to each other

  • DIA is Monday.  🙂
