Bell work: Obtain a pen and a piece of notebook paper. Classwork: We have just studied two different types of societies.
Compare and contrast the themes portrayed in The Diary of Anne Frank versus The Giver. You must include at least three scenes from each text. This can be done as 3 separate RACE paragraphs or a detailed double bubble map. Be sure to include details about the society’s rules and expectations for its citizens, as well as how the leadership in both societies goes protecting their goal for inclusion/exclusion.
It is evident the 2 societies are fractured extremes in very different ways. Describe what a perfect, utopian society would look like? What rules/laws would we have? How would they be enforced? You can complete this as three RACE paragraphs or a detailed bubble map. Be sure to include details about your goals for inclusion.
How does our current society compare to the utopian society you just described? In what areas do we need to improve? How might we make these positive changes? You can complete this as a RACE paragraph or detailed multi-flow map.
