  1. Set up Cornell notes on page 91 in your interactive notebook.

Class Work

    1. As you watch the video on persuasive appeals, take notes on ethos (ethical), pathos (emotional), and logos (logical- R71). 
      • Leave room for examples of each from the text we will be reading.
    2. Using your textbook, take notes on rhetorical devices (repetition and parallelism on bottom of page 383).
      • Leave room for examples of each from the text we will be reading.
    3. As you read After Auschwitz starting on page 379 in your textbook, add the examples you find for the devices and appeals in your Cornell notes on page 81 in your interactive notebook.

Homework

  1. Plan to attend this year’s Book Carnival.
